Our controller for the game ZeroRanger has its visual design based on the Type-A ship found as a boss within the game. This ship is the same type used by the player character. In order to turn on the controller the switch on the circuit playground must be flipped to on. Left and right movement is controlled by turning a potentiometer while up and down movement is controlled through the accelerometer by tilting the controller forwards and back. The player has three firing modes which are inputted by covering one of three light sensors. The player can also enter and exit melee mode by flipping a switch.
Question 1: Does the location of the inputs feel natural or
are their positions unintuitive?
Question 2: Does it feel like all inputs are accessible at
once or is it difficult to move and shoot at the same time?
