   Super battle golf has a wide array of controls we can work with. We can pick and choose which parts are super game-ified with the controller. Super battle gold revolves around a fast paced race to the finish golf course, which picking up helpful items on the way. There are lots of steps to shooting a golf ball that involve power meters and direction, so that sounded like it would be fun to build around.  

 Are there too many controls in the game for a special controller?   

 Which design  for Super battle golf could you imaging more from the 5 we have?

  Our motivation for choosing Golf It is that it’s a simple, enjoyable game that both of us already play, and we wanted to design a custom controller that enhances a game we personally connect with. The mechanics are straightforward: you rotate the camera with the mouse to aim, then pull the mouse back and push it forward to hit the ball. The speed and distance of that motion determine the power of the shot. Because the gameplay is so simple and intuitive, we felt it would translate well into an alternative controller's design. I believe these mechanics could be expressed even better through a physical controller that makes power control easier, more immersive, or more entertaining. For example, creating a putter‑style controller could increase player immersion and encourage more natural, physical movement while playing. 

  1. Does the idea of a putter‑style (Golf It) controller seem intuitive and fun, or should we explore a different physical design?
