Game Controller Sketches

The two games I chose to create my game controllers for are the NES classics Paperboy and Bomberman. I chose these games because they are both very well known and also the fact that the controls could be replicated fairly efficiently using a variety of items. In the picture above I've labeled three sketches of controllers that could be created for each game, and each of them are fairly unique. One of my personal favorite designs is the bicycle handles for paperboy, which rotates the circuit playground affecting the accelerometer. This motion actually simulates what the character in-game is doing, riding a bike while trying to deliver papers to all the right houses. The other design I like is the soccer ball with the circuit playground inside it for Bomberman. Kicking and moving the ball around would rotate the circuit playground inside, affecting how Bomberman moves around the level, and placing bombs would be done via the sound sensor by kicking or slamming the ball loudly. Some questions for these designs are, is there any way I could use these items without just affecting the accelerometer? And also is there anything that could be added to control the games more effectively/consistently?
