Limbo:

One of the games I am considering is Playdead’s Limbo. My
motivation for working with this game is its controls are simple, only including
four inputs in total. I think Limbo could benefit from an alternative controller
because the gameplay is puzzle and physics based, and additional motion could bring
more immersion into the high-fidelity environments and effects. A main gesture
from the game that influenced my choice is the character’s ability to grab and
pull things. The gesture in the game is given weight through various effects,
but I thought physically grabbing to control the object in the game could bring
a much greater sense of immersion and create more tension. Are there any perceived
glaring flaws in my designs or significant difficulties? Which one of my
designs seems most feasible?
Super Pickleball Adventure

The other game I am considering is Super Pickleball
Adventure by Andrfw. My motivation for working with this game is its controls are
simple and its gameplay loop is arcade-like. I think Super Pickleball Adventure
could benefit from an alternative controller because more motion-based controls
could bring another dimension of fitness and immersion to the game since it is
based on a sport. A main gesture from the game that influenced my choice was
the swinging of the paddle to hit the ball. I think pressing a button to do
this can be underwhelming and physically swinging a controller or having some
kind of tactile feedback could be beneficial. What other ways could pickles be
used in the context of pickleball? Are there any glaring challenges or difficulties
in my designs?
