Scaffolding: Concept Review - Michael Kocis

 Game 1: Frogger

My motivation for working with Frogger is that it’s a very fun, simple game with lots of potential in alternate controllers. The controls are simple in that players will be moving forward, back, left, and right across the stage dodging obstacles. My initial thinking was to just use motion controls for the 4 movement directions, but after some thinking I found some more creative solutions that focus more on the movement of the frog and less on the direction it is moving. My questions for peer review are how doable do you think each controller is and how well do you feel it fits the theme of the game?

Game 2: Handshakes

I was motivated to make a controller for Handshakes very soon after learning about the assignment due to the very simple nature of the game and how exciting and unique its puzzles are. Handshakes is a game where you need to navigate two extendable hands through a puzzle so they can meet. The controls are moving forward, back, left, and right for each hand, as well as undo and reset. My peer review questions are how doable do you think these controllers are, and what additional steps could I do to make them more unique?
