Our controller is made for a game called Balan Wonderworld. The main character wears an iconic hat. The controller is a wearable recreation of that hat. The hat's components are all attached to a mount that fits on the player's head, and the hat sits atop the mount over the player's face. The game has three mechanics: Movement, costume switching, and costume action. To move, the player will tilt their head and an accelerometer on the circuit playground will read their directional tilt input as stick movement. When switching costumes, the player's character does a spin. To compliment this, the player can switch costumes by spinning their hat. A magnometer will sense the rotation of the hat to trigger the character's costume switching. The hat's mount is connected to a custom 3D printed ball bearing and can spin freely. There is a small magnet that allows the hat to snap back to it's resting point after a spin. The top of the mount has a button that the player can press down on to activate the costume ability. The upper half of the hat will be attached to the mount so it will squish down when the "button" is pressed.
