Scaffolding: Prototype Review Team 1

The prototype of the LeapPad consists of four Velostat pads between two pieces of tinfoil to complete the circuit connection. Each pad corresponds to an arrow key input for the four cardinal directions. The "south" pad is used for moving forward to encourage the user to jump in order to advance in the game, replicating the movement of the character in Frogger. The overall goal for the position the user takes is that of a "leap-frog" position, adding to the connection with the themes of Frogger.

For this prototype, everything was connected via alligator clips to a central breadboard, with color coded cables for easy management.

Questions

How do you feel the orientation of the pads compares to having them set in a square orientation?

Do you believe that having a dedicated pad for down is preferred compared to having to press left and right at the same time?
