Our run and gun controller's mechanics relate to the game Doom as we wanted to emphasize the movement and kind of panic that Doom gives to the player. As you have to run around a lot in Doom in order to survive, we created the floor buttons to make the player use their legs in order to survive. Along with this, we wanted to give the player the feeling as if they are the ones with the gun in their hand making the player have to perform certain gestures such as flicking to the side to switch weapons and act as if the gun is recoiling in order to fire their selected weapon. Two questions we would like to ask would be, how can we simplify the wiring on the gun part of the controller and what would be some improvements we could make moving forward.
