Game Controller - Castlevania

For my game of choice, I chose Castlevania (NES) on an Emulator. (If this is not acceptable, my group in my Game Production class made a small version of Castlevania on PC using Unity that I could use). My three ideas for a controller are a potion bottle (represents the holy water used in the game), a cross (represents the rosary in the game), or a sword (represents the dagger in the game). They all use similar controller schemes where they all tilt to move in the game, shouting to attack, shaking to pause, or rotating/corking to jump. I think these would be relatively simple and interesting to use.
