Prototype Review: Space Invaders

My prototype controller is designed for the game "Space Invaders". I wanted my controller to resemble a spaceship in order to make the player really feel like they are piloting the spaceship in the game, which I feel ties well because you are “flying” the spaceship by holding its wings and moving it. Currently, the controller is in a rough state and it doesn't have everything installed and the overall structure of the controller is also in a rough state due to it being a prototype. I also really want to improve the overall structure of the controller in order to emphasize that "spaceship feel" and to allow more room for the electronics because currently, it's a bit tight and I want everything to fit neatly. Doing these things will also help with ergonomics. Currently, the ergonomics of the controller are not the best, and it makes the controller a bit of a challenge the handle. Overall, I would say that making this prototype helped a lot and now I have a better picture of what I want the final controller to look and play like and what adjustments I need to make.

Regarding feedback, my two questions are: 

1) How could the ergonomics be improved in order to reach everything effectively?

2) Should I add sounds to the controller for each input?
