Game Controller Sketches

The Game I decided to make a controller for is Bloody Trapland 2: Curiosity. This game was one I fell in love with when first seeing it and enjoy for its simple style and mechanics, but its skillful tricks. I wanted to pick a game that had very simple controllers, but required a certain level of skill to be able to complete, a delicate touch, if you will. this would allow the game controller to almost make the game a bit more difficult, but also make it a bit more fun, especially with the multiplayer elements of this game.

You can check out the game here:

First Concept Sketch

This concept is designed roughly from the spikes located throughout Bloody Trapland 2 and would utilize the tilt functionality of the circuit playground for the WASD controls.

Second Concept Sketch

This concept is designed from the floating fist that would occasionally crush the player. Simply talking would move the player forward and backward, silence would have the player stop moving and crouch, lifting the object would jump, and covering a light sensor would switch the direction the playing was facing.

Third Concept Sketch
My personal favorite, this concept is reminiscent of the buzzsaw design throughout the game. Rotating it left would right would have the player character move accordingly. Tilting the top of the saw upwards would cause a jump and covering a light sensor in the center of the design would crouch the player.
